About ENSICAEN

With four engineering diplomas, including apprenticeship courses, the recent opening of a Master degree with the EM Normandie (Management school of Normandy) and the creation of a FabLAb, ENSICAEN constantly seeks to foster learning by offering teaching methods and training focused on innovation. ENSICAEN is located in the heart of a large campus in the North of Caen, where we can find not only the different universities and colleges but also research laboratories (GANIL, Cyceron ). Courses at ENSICAEN are of both a technically and scientifically high level. The work of our research-professors at the seven ENSICAEN laboratories in collaboration with the CEA, the CNRS and the University of Caen Normandy is always in line with the latest scientific advances and has a strong impact on our course programmes.

Our partnerships with universities, graduate schools, companies, R&D competitiveness clusters (SET Centre : Secure Electronic Transactions and NextMove : Mobility and Car Industry) and industrial sectors like Normandie Aero Espace (NAE) or Normandie Énergie ensure that our engineering students integrate professional life quickly. The numerous industrial or research projects entrusted to our students enable them to enhance their skills throughout the three-year course. These projects also provide an opportunity to discover project management and to experiment team-working which is a necessity for an open innovation approach.

With more than 110 cooperation agreements and exchange programmes with foreign universities around the world, the school has an active policy of international exchange and development so as to facilitate the engineering students’ mobility and the possibility of a double diploma graduation. Finally, ENSICAEN develops the human dimension by supporting the Student Union. More than 50 clubs and associations offer various activities for a dynamic student life.
